Waiting, waiting, waiting...

Well...we were really hoping to have our letter from The Minister of Family and Gender by now, but we haven't heard anything. Have any of you other families out there waiting heard any news??? We are thinking of all of you during this wait!

  1. No news here either. We've been waiting since March for an approval letter. The minister reportedly reviewed our file a month ago but no official letter yet. I have asked my caseworker and POA if they think we should send an email to Veronique and so far they are saying just to hang out. Let us know if you hear anything.

  2. Maybe your approval will come faster because you are doing a private adoption? But there are several families working with agencies who have been waiting over 4 months. We are at about the 3 and 1/2 month mark as our dossier arrived 4/9/09. We have not heard anything and our agencies policy is that they will not check in on the status of our file untill the 5 month mark. Referrals after approval are also taking longer now, around 2 months or more.
